Second Africa–Europe Clusters of Research Excellence Conference
14 - 17 June 2026
The 2026 Second Africa–Europe Clusters of Research Excellence (CoRE) Conference will take place from 14–17 June at the University of Glasgow, alongside the Summit of the Vice-Chancellors and Presidents from the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) and The Guild of European Research-Intensive Universities (The Guild).
This flagship event will bring together university leaders, distinguished researchers, and key stakeholders from across Africa and Europe for plenary sessions, strategic meetings and workshops.
Marking three years of the Clusters of Research Excellence (CoRE), the Conference will review progress, strengthen collaborations, and explore new opportunities. Coinciding with Glasgow’s 575th Anniversary celebrations and The Guild’s 10th Anniversary, the event will offer a unique moment to reflect on shared achievements and shape the future of equitable global partnerships.
