Welcome to Glasgow Mandarin Wellbeing Matters!

This interactive, skill-based programme is tailored specifically for Mandarin-speaking students. It offers accessible strategies to nurture mental and emotional well-being, alongside practical techniques. Through this masterclass, you’ll feel more confident in coping with stress and anxiety and better prepared for both your academic journey and daily life abroad.

Mandarin Wellbeing Matters 1: Improving Low Mood

Where: In Person

Number:  Maximum 15 people

Dates: Monday (16th & 23rd Feb 2nd & 9th &16th& 23rd March)

Feeling low, stuck, or emotionally drained can be confusing and challenging when you are not sure why it is happening or how to shift it.

This six-week workshop is designed to help you better understand low mood and learn practical, evidence-based skills to cope with low mood and improve your emotional wellbeing.

This workshop is suitable for anyone experiencing ongoing low mood, emotional fatigue or stress, and for those who want to learn practical tools to care for their mental health more effectively.

By the end of the six weeks, you will learn:

  • A clear understanding of low mood.
  • Build emotional awareness and self-compassion
  • Practice tools to manage negative thoughts and difficult emotions (CBT skills, emotional regulation and nervous system work)
  • Strategies to make small, realistic behavioural change

改善低落情绪:普通话心理成长工作坊 (线下)

 

 如果你感到情绪低落、疲倦、做事提不起劲、动力不足,说不清原因,也不知道如何改变;甚至你开始怀疑是不是自己太懒惰,责备自己不够强大,你可能会在心里一遍一遍地打击自己、否定自己; 如果你希望学习有效的心理自我照顾工具、提升你的情绪调节能力,那么这个工作坊正是为你量身定做。这个工作坊结合心理教育和实用技能练习,帮助你理解情绪低落的心理机制,教会实用的、循证的情绪管理技术,以应对低落情绪, 从而提升整体情绪健康和心理韧性,一步步找回内在力量,重新获得对生活的掌控感。

完成六周课程后,你将能够:

  • 更清晰地理解什么是情绪低落,以及它为何会出现
  • 提升情绪觉察能力,减少自己我批评,建立自我关怀
  • 练习应对负性思维和困难情绪的实用工具(包括 CBT 技能、情绪调节方法及神经系统稳定练习)
  • 学习如何通过小而可行的行为改变,逐步改善情绪状态的方法。

 

        此工作坊为面对面线下活动,小组最多15人,按照报名顺序优先。

 

 

Mandarin Wellbeing Matters 2: Mandarin speaking Mindfulness Experience group

Do you feel overwhelmed by the “noise” of your own thoughts? Join us for Finding Your Anchor, a 6-week interactive workshop, designed to help you navigate the ups and downs of life with mindfulness and calmness.

After 6 sessions, you will learn:

  1. Being present
  2. Feeling your body
  3. Grounding techniques
  4. Cognitive defusion: seeing your thoughts and cognitions clearly, without being control them.
  5. Moving beyond self-criticism into self-compassion
  6. Self-acceptance

 

Size of the group: Maximum 30 people

寻回心锚——六周正念情绪调节工作坊 (线上)

你是不是时常被大脑中各种喧闹的声音所困扰,让你陷入无限的内耗中,甚至会让你情绪崩溃。

正念练习通过觉察当下,帮助人们学会与情绪相处,减少情绪困扰,大量科研和临床实践已经证明,正念练习可以帮助人们提升对情绪的调节能力,减少内耗,提升心理韧性,从而促进身心的整合和自我成长。

为了帮助中国同学顺利完成留学生活,我们特别开放了六周的普通话正念情绪调节工作坊。在这六周里,我们将一起探索:

  1. 觉察:找回被“自动驾驶”带走的自己,觉察此刻此地。
  2. 感受身体:身体是情绪的载体,也是情绪最诚实的预警机制,通过感受身体觉察自己的情绪。
  3. 学习情绪“着陆”技术,建立“情绪急救包”。
  4. 思维解离:看清想法和认知,而不被想法和认知所控制。
  5. 自我接纳:停止内耗。
  6. 自我批评到自我关怀:将内在批评者变成滋养自我的保护者。

 

 

Mandarin Wellbeing Matters 3: Mandarin speaking Overcome Low Self-esteem workshop

This 6-week interactive workshop is designed to help students move from “Performance-based self-esteem” to “core self-worth”.

We will explore:

  1. Health Self-esteem & Inner critic identification
  2. Imposter syndrome
  3. Challenging the internal bully
  4. Core values & Identity
  5. Boundaries
  6. From self-criticism to self-compassion
  7. Gain your power

那么,这个六周的自尊成长工作坊就是帮助你将建立在以学业成就为基础的自我自我价值感,转为真实且稳定的自我价值。

在这六周课程中,我们将一起探讨:

  1. 健康自尊水平与识别内在批评者
  2. 冒名顶替综合症
  3. 自我认知和核心价值
  4. 建立边界,学会说不。
  5. 从自我批评内耗到自我慈悲
  6. 拥抱自我的力量
