About the Network Programme (NP)
The Data Network at the University of Glasgow is a vital infrastructure component supporting the delivery of teaching, learning, research and business operations for the University. It has grown over the years to meet an ever-increasing demand, which it does very well, but is now aging and in need of a refresh.
The Network Programme will provide a modern data network service and technologies enabling the University of Glasgow to deliver world leading research and teaching.

Phase 5 (P5)
Our current phase where we are deploying the new data network throughout our buildings through to March 2028
Phase 4 (P4)
Our previous phase saw the replacement of the large centralised infrastructure at the heart of our network, surveying activity and pilot building upgrades
Phases 1-3 (P1-3)
Phases 1, 2 & 3 meant preparing the project via programme initiation, high level solution designs, business case, governance approvals and competitive procurement for an implementation partner and technology vendor
