Research title: Children’s Identity Formation in Cross-cultural Experiences of Intangible Cultural Heritage in China and Scotland: New Ways Forward
Research Summary
I am a PhD student and an arts practitioner focusing on intangible cultural heritage (ICH) education within multicutural contexts. My reseach explores how immigrant communities construct identity through engagement with ICH from different cultural backgrounds, with particular attention to intergenerational differences and how these relationships are shaped through such connections.
My broader research interests include community participation in heritage and museums; creativity and interdisciplinary in arts and humanities education; artistic research; practice-based and practice-as-research methodologies; and the intersections of art education and sociocultural anthropology.
