AI in Industry Event
The Centre for Data Science & AI, alongside the College of Science & Engineering (CoSE), is hosted an EPSRC-sponsored “AI in Industry” event on Friday, the 27th of March 2026, at the University of Glasgow.
Designed for 3rd and 4th year undergraduate and postgraduate students within the College of Science & Engineering, this event explored how AI and machine learning are applied in real-world industry settings—and what skills, training, and career pathways can help students get there.
This event included
- Talks and discussions on real-world AI/ML applications
- Insights into industry roles, projects, and career journeys
- Guidance on skills and training pathways
- Opportunities to meet and network with professionals working in AI-enabled sectors
- Mentorship Session with professionals from industry, government, careers and academia. Covering themes of Careers & Employability, Technical & Engineering, Academia & Policy
