AI in IndustryEvent!

The Centre for Data Science & AI, alongside the College of Science & Engineering (CoSE), is hosted an EPSRC-sponsored “AI in Industry” event on Friday, the 27th of March 2026, at the University of Glasgow.

Designed for 3rd and 4th year undergraduate and postgraduate students within the College of Science & Engineering, this event explored how AI and machine learning are applied in real-world industry settings—and what skills, training, and career pathways can help students get there.

This event explored

  • Talks and discussions on real-world AI/ML applications
  • Insights into industry roles, projects, and career journeys
  • Guidance on skills and training pathways
  • Opportunities to meet and network with professionals working in AI-enabled sectors

Mentorship Session:

During the mentorship session there will be opportunities to meet and chat informally with professionals from industry, government, careers and academia. The mentorship sessions will cover three themes:

  • Technical & Engineering
  • Academia & Policy
  • These sessions will be an opportunity to explore career paths, technical roles and the wider impact of AI, while also making valuable connections.
