Research units A-Z

Finding the right collaborators and funding is essential for advancing research, but the process can be slow and difficult. Researchers often have to search across many different platforms to find the right people or opportunities. With hybrid and remote working, it has also become harder to connect and build new partnerships. To make this easier, we are developing an AI-powered recommendation system that uses publicly available data to help researchers find new collaborators and funding opportunities based on shared interests and expertise. The goal is to make research connections more open, efficient, and collaborative across disciplines.

Much of the knowledge within academia remains hidden because researchers often work in different disciplines, roles, or networks. This project seeks to change that by using AI to uncover connections and highlight shared interests across the research community. By making expertise easier to find and understand, the system encourages new collaborations, supports knowledge exchange, and helps build a more connected and inclusive research culture.

We expect this system to specifically benefit junior researchers who do not have established connections already.

We are committed to building a system that is fair, transparent, and secure. The system uses only publicly available information from trusted sources and never collects personal or sensitive data from users.
