PROJECTS THAT HIGHLIGHT COLLEGIAL LEADERSHIP

Celebrating those who shape positive research cultures through their everyday actions of care, collegilaity, support and inclusion.

InFrame’s projects collect, recognise and celebrate everyday examples of collegial research leadership, from supervisors and PGRs to research staff, PIs, and professional services colleagues. They:

  • Highlight actions that create positive research environments.
  • Show how leadership at all levels helps others to thrive.
  • Help build a broader, more inclusive understanding of research leadership.

Inspired by the University of Glasgow’s 'People Make Research' project, this initiative now runs across Glasgow, Edinburgh, and St Andrews recognising and celebrating leadership that supports a positive culture.

Recognise the colleagues who make a positive reseach culture!

At the University of Glasgow, we celebrate colleagues who build a positive research culture. In 2025, nearly 500 colleagues were recognised for their contributions to Careers, Creativity and Collaboration, showing the power of collegiality.

Why it matters: Recognition boosts morale, values overlooked roles and strengthens research culture. Even a short message of appreciation can make a real difference.

Nominate someone who inspires you: academic staff, research staff, or professional services colleagues.

This is not a competition; it’s simply a chance to thank those who make research thrive. The process is quick and the form is open until 5pm, Friday 6th March 2026.
