Presentation at SERA on reflections on Mattering and what it means to first-year undergraduate students in ITE

Eilidh and Lindsay presented on work they have been doing around Mattering. They presented their thinking behind changes made around induction, how discussions across the university influenced their thinking and shared their next steps.
Are We Doing Enough to Support Our First-year Undergraduate Students in ITE? Reflections from Two New Course Leaders Eilidh and Lindsay started to look into the concept of belonging. After attending a conference and meeting with the University's Student Learning Development (SLD) team who shared their reference list around Mattering, Eilidh and Lindsay decided to explore Mattering in more detail. This work is ongoing.
