Improving NHS obesity care in Scotland
Published: 16 January 2026
Opportunity to advise on research design, data collection, and the barriers people face in accessing new treatments.
Are you interested in improving NHS obesity care in Scotland? Here is an opportunity where you’ll advise on research design, how we collect data, and the barriers people face in accessing new treatments.
Your feedback will help shape NHS obesity care and help us include perspectives from people who are too often under-represented.
We are asking for people to participate in four group discussions (each 60–90 minutes) between February and May 2026. Meetings 1 and 2 will be held in person (Glasgow), and meetings 3 and 4 will be held online.
We would like to recuit a group of 5 or 6 adults living in Scotland, with experience of living with obesity and living in a less affluent area. Payment is provided as recognition for your time and expertise. You’ll be paid £50 per hour for participation and reimbursed for travel expenses.
Please email susan.browne@gla.systa-s.com for more information about participating.
