Online Course - Starting in July
Prepare for your studies with confidence through our new online 6-week English language pre-sessional course for international students.
Designed to strengthen your academic English skills and help you transition smoothly into your degree programme, the course will run from 6th July to 14th August, with results released on 21st August 2026.
Entry will be available to students who meet the minimum English language requirements: an overall IELTS score of 6.5, with 6.0 in writing, no more than one skill at 5.5, and no skill below 5.5. (higher entry scores will apply for students with higher target scores.)

When can I start?
Your start date and length of study depend on your current level of English and the level you need to reach for your academic programme.
- If you need to reach IELTS 6.0 overall
- If you need to reach IELTS 6.5 overall, with no subtest less than 6.0
- If you need to reach IELTS 6.5 overall with writing at 6.5 & no subtest less than 6.0; OR writing at 6.0 & all other subtests at 6.5
- If you need to reach IELTS 6.5 in every skill
- If you need to reach IELTS 7.0 overall
- If you need to reach IELTS 7.0 in every skill
- If you have a different English Language test report (not IELTS)
