Over six intensive weeks, you will develop your academic English, study skills and confidence through small-group live lessons, regular one-to-one tutor support, on-demand resources, and practical exercises.

Entry Requirements & Fees
Our online course requires a minimum overall IELTS score of 6.0, with no skill below 5.5, and costs £2,750.
To ensure you can engage with the course smoothly and securely, you must have suitable equipment and connection. You will need:
- A working laptop or desktop computer (a tablet or mobile device is not suitable)
- Reliable internet connection
- An external/moveable webcam
- A microphone (external or built-in to your laptop or desktop computer)
Learning & Teaching Format
- A structured mix of live classes and guided independent study (readings, quizzes, videos and e-books), designed to mirror degree-level learning.
- Around 15 hours of live classes per week in small groups of 14–16 students, supporting interaction, feedback and discussion.
- Expect 15–20 hours of independent study each week, integrated with live teaching through a clear weekly learning cycle.
- Weekly one-to-one tutorials with your tutor for personalised support, plus regular lectures reflecting authentic university learning.
- Live classes run 09:00–14:00 (UK time), with independent study completed flexibly to suit your time zone.
Assessment & Student Support
- Progress is assessed through weekly written tasks, quizzes, discussions and short presentations, with regular feedback to help you improve throughout the course.
- There is no final exam. Instead, you will build a portfolio of coursework that reflects your development and achievements over the six weeks.
- Weekly one-to-one tutorials with your tutor provide personalised guidance, helping you review progress and focus on your learning goals.
- Student study groups, class forums and small-group activities encourage collaboration and regular interaction with tutors and classmates.
- A digital social and cultural programme – including Chat Club, Conversation Café and “Getting to Know Glasgow” – will help you connect with other students and become familiar with the University and city before you arrive.
