Biography
I am a lecturer in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and English for Specific Purposes (EASP) at the University of Glasgow and part of the English for Academic Study (EAS) team.
Research interests
I am currently writing a textbook for SAGE Publications titled Your Guide to Academic Writing: From Context to Text.
Research interests include course design for subject specific cohorts and aspects of critical EAP.
I have more general research interests in inter-textuality, writing about knowledge and innovative approaches to teaching and course design.
Teaching
My current teaching and course convening roles include convening in-sessional credit bearing courses for international PGT students in the Adam Smith Business School and the School of Maths and Statistics. I am also developing similar provision for Engineering students.
I also support in-sessional course provision and development more generally within EAS.
Additionally, I convene and teach on the April pre-sessional bridging programme for international students.
