Dr Wooseok Kim

Biography
Wooseok Kim is a Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellow in the School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Glasgow, working on a project titled "Party Systems and Democracy in the Face of Populism and Authoritarianism." Prior to beginning this fellowship, he joined the University of Glasgow as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Democratic Politics in September 2022 to work on Professor Anja Neundorf's ERC-funded "Democracy under Threat: How Education can Save it" (DEMED) project.
His research primarily investigates the factors the contribute to the resilience of democratic and autocratic regimes, with a particular focus on party systems and policymaking.
He holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, an MA in Statistics, and an MA/PhD in Political Science—all from the University of Michigan.
