Maths Advice

Our team offers help with mathematics to both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate taught (PGT) students from across the university. We work with staff to provide specially designed sessions within courses, but we also offer a wide range of services directly to students such as:

  • Confidential one-to-one appointments with one of our advisers. These are available to all undergraduate and PGT students, but please note that Honours and PGT Mathematics students should instead seek help directly from their School.
  • A variety of online resources on our Maths Support Moodle, both general and subject specific – just have a browse!
  • Graduate Numeracy Moodle where you can find practice questions, lessons and videos to help with employers’ numeracy tests.
  • General drop-ins, courses and workshops which are open to all students

For help with statistics, please see the Statistics Advice webpage instead. If you still can't find what you're looking for, or for any other enquiries, please email our Maths Adviser at jenny.august@gla.systa-s.com

"The people really tailor the explanation to you, if they see you don't get something they ensure they go over it until you are happy with it. They also make sure you leave feeling calm and confident if you were panicked before. v nice"
