Research title: Bridging the Expectation Gap: An Exploratory Ethnography of Chinese Postgraduate Business Students’ Learning Experience in UK Higher Education

Teaching

Bing has been teaching at Adam Smith Business School since September 2014, started as student tutor and progressed to tutor, supporting students across both postgraduate and undergraduate business and management courses.

At postgraduate level, Bing's teaching experience includes Delivering Performances, Strategic Management, Management Across Cultures and Comparative Management (MACCM), People in Organisation, Responsible Leadership, Marketing Analysis, Export Marketing, International Management, Business Decision Analysis, Digital Transformation and Contemporary Issues in HR.

At undergraduate level, Bing have taught on courses including Entrepreneurship, Organisational Behaviour, Human Resource Management, and Integrating Business and Management in Practice.

Bing designs and delivers tutorials in both online and in-person formats, using case studies, group discussions, presentation exercises and applied learning activities to help students connect theoretical concepts with real business and organisational contexts. Her teaching places particular emphasis on student engagement, critical thinking, intercultural communication, teamwork and presentation skills.

In addition to tutorial delivery, Bing supports students through formative and summative feedback on group presentations, individual assignments and essays. Bing has consistently received positive student feedback, particularly for creating an interactive and supportive learning environment that encourages students to participate, reflect and develop confidence in applying business and management knowledge.
