I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from the Southern University of Science and Technology in China. During my Master’s studies, I focused on the priming effect and the cycling of organic carbon in mangrove ecosystems, with a particular interest in the transformation and fate of organic matter in coastal environments.

In 2025, I began my PhD at the University of Glasgow, focusing on marine productivity and sea-ice variability in the Sea of Okhotsk. I will use a multi-proxy approach, including biogenic opal, ice-rafted debris, organic biomarkers, and hydrogen isotope analyses, to reconstruct long-term changes in ocean productivity and sea-ice conditions. My PhD research will explore the relationship between sea-ice variability and organic carbon storage in the Sea of Okhotsk, and offer insights into how the region has responded to climate change during glacial–interglacial cycles.
