Biography
I graduated BDS, BMSc from University of Dundee and after a couple of years working in Leeds Dental Hospital, moved to Glasgow Dental Hospital where I followed the hospital career pathway to Orthodontic Specialist, acquiring an FDS, then MDO and MSc in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow.
I worked as an Orthodontic Specialist Practitioner part-time for several years, whilst my family were young, and then came back into the Hospital Service part-time as a Specialty Dentist.
My working life was subsequently split between Hospital and Specialist practice until I moved into a full-time Clinical Lecturer / Honorary Specialty Dentist post in 2020.
My current work involves all aspects of dental undergraduate orthodontic teaching, some joint postgraduate research supervision, plus leading our dental undergraduate electives programme. I hold a Post-graduate Certificate in Academic Practice.
