Research interests

Ognian has a background in biology and economics, with degrees from Bocconi University, University of Milan, and a PhD from University of Glasgow. His current research focus is on biomarkers of ageing, particularly epigenetic clocks. He also works on other aspects of the biology of human ageing, including cellular senescence, senotherapeutic strategies to delay ageing, as well as the role of the exposome and microbiome in ageing.
