Meet Dr Erin Macdonald PhD Astrophysics., internationally recognised astrophysicist, award-winning science communicator and the official Science Advisor for the STAR TREK franchise. Erin uses her PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Glasgow to bring real science into one of the world’s most iconic science-fiction universes. She also voices Lt. Cmdr. Erin Macdonald in Star Trek: Prodigy and Star Trek Online.
She is the Founder and CEO of Spacetime Productions, championing inclusive and science-informed storytelling. Erin was part of the Star Trek team that received the prestigious Institutional Peabody Award, and in 2025 she won the Study UK Alumni Award for Culture and Creativity (USA).
